The solution consists of two clusters with multiple zones: An advanced configuration comprises a zone group and several individual zones, each of which has one or more Ceph (radosgw) instances. Each zone is backed by its own Ceph storage cluster. Having multiple zones in a group provides disaster recovery in case one of them suffers a major failure. Starting with the Kraken version, each zone is active and can accept write operations.
Based on their specifications, we develop both a suitable front-end and back-end solution for our client. We also handle the development and implementation of a corresponding API and database model.
The solution involves automatically retrieving privileged accounts from Active Directory using Microsoft PowerShell. In addition to these automated tasks, extensive coordination with the individual application owners is required to ensure that permissions are correctly transferred to the target Active Directory.
Through a graphical web interface, the customer can upload the latest data to a database, enabling automated data cleansing and processing on the backend. This step involves numerous calculations and forecasts regarding maintenance needs, with the results subsequently displayed in interactive charts on the web interface.
The solution involves developing a new web application based on Angular and .NET 5. This makes it possible to consolidate all of the business units’ requirements and modules into a single platform. This includes, among other things, managing simulations for each module on the high-performance cluster.

The solution includes support for the architecture and setup of the system landscape using the appropriate software solutions from OpenText. In addition, the internal IT department procured certified storage systems to ensure more compliant document storage.
